Scholarship Eligibility/Requirements
Each year Waumandee State Bank offers $500 scholarships to area high school seniors. This year, we have made the decision to open up the scholarship applications to all 16 schools in our four-county area. We have allocated a $500 scholarship to each of these schools provided that the applicant(s) meet all requirements. Once all applications have been collected by the deadline of Friday, April 24, 2026, an internal Scholarship Committee will read through the essays and look over the non-identifying details of the application to choose one winner from each of the 16 high schools.
Requirements:
- Must be a high school senior set to graduate from one of these local high schools: Alma, Alma Center-Lincoln, Arcadia, Black River Falls, Blair-Taylor, Cochrane-Fountain City, Durand, Eleva-Strum, G-E-T, Gilmanton, Independence, Melrose-Mindoro, Mondovi, Osseo-Fairchild, Pepin, Whitehall
- Must be planning to attend a college, university, or technical/vocational school for post-secondary education. Note: Special recommendations will be given to students pursuing a business-related career or degree.
- Applications must be submitted to marketing@waumandeebank.com or dropped off at S2021 County Road U Waumandee, WI 54622 by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026, to be considered.
- Must complete the scholarship application document linked here.
* Awarded applicants of the Waumandee State Bank 2026 Scholarship must provide a transcript of their first semester college grades to Waumandee State Bank (Email: marketing@waumandeebank.com or Mail: Waumandee State Bank Attn: WSB Marketing S2021 County Road U Waumandee, WI 54622) no later than Friday, February 19, 2027 to ensure they receive scholarship payment.
